Purpose of the role:
Will be responsible for conducting physical inspections of cargoes and warehouses, and conduct logistics checks, across a range of commodity products and locations.
Responsibilities
- Assess cargo and warehousing conditions (both quality and quantity)
- Act as liaison between trading and operations desks and various service providers
- Liaise and build relationships with forwarding agencies and inspection companies
- Provide ongoing report on inspection visits and flow of communication between various stakeholders and also within the Operational Risk team
Requirements:
- University Degree (technical, logistics and/or shipping background)
- Minimum 10 years experience in commodity supervision and inspection. Solid knowledge and experience in risk management
- Ability to interact and communicate internally as well as externally with different stakeholders and different nationalities
- Ability to work and deliver under pressure;
- Ability to understand different operating businesses and dynamic working environments
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written) with additional language skills being a plus
- Extensive travelling will be required for the role, so mobility will be a key requirement for the job.
